Sylvester Stallone sues to continue «Rocky» franchise

Sylvester Stallone is suing movie studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and production company Chartoff-Winkler. According to the actor, both companies are preventing him from developing a musical and a sequel based on the «Rocky» series. Stallone claims the two companies pulled out of the deal when they heard he planned to appear in the boxing reality show «The Contender». MGM spokeswoman Janet Janjigian calls Stallone's suit «sad, desperate, pathetic and without merit.»
