Coroner clears Chris Penn

Chris Penn died of natural causes, says coroner.

After weeks of speculation that Chris Penn committed suicide or overdosed on drugs, the Los Angeles coroner has put those rumors to rest. «There is absolutely no indication that this is anything but an accident» said spokesman Craig Harvey, adding that the official cause was «nonspecific cardiomyopathy», or an oversized heart. Penn, the younger brother of Sean, is best known for his work in «Reservoir Dogs», «Short Cuts», «Rush Hour» and «Kiss Kiss (Bang Bang). At the 1996 Venice Film Festival, he won the Volpi Cup for his work in »The Funeral«.
