In this sequel, the musical trio Alvin and the Chipmunks are forced to leave superstardom behind and return to high school, where they meet and fall for three female chipmunks who also sing as the Chipettes. Asked to save the school's music program by winning a local contest, our heroes go up against the girls, whom they'd rather just hang out with.
