In a small town lost in the middle of nowhere, during a harsh winter: Edmond Zweck's funeral business is in danger, threatening his only two employees: Georges, Zweck's friend and right-hand man, and Eddy, a young man just starting out in the trade. Hope returns when new customers finally arrive. Charged with bringing the deceased to a secluded cemetery, Georges and Eddy find themselves stuck in a comical adventure out in the snow...

The movie’s ambition is clear: to be an offbeat thriller, with black humor and absurd gags, strongly influenced by the Coen brothers. It’s difficult not to be charmed by Gérard Pautonnier’s debut, which stands out in the French landscape, especially since it brings together a trio of perfect actors: Jean-Pierre Bacri, Olivier Gourmet and Arthur Dupont. It’s also difficult not to recognize that it lacks the talent to completely achieve its ends. The fault lies in its weak plot, humor that sometimes isn’t daring enough, and a rhythm that is too sluggish. The adventure is supposed to be incredible and hilarious, but soon becomes dusty and clumsily written. But given that this is his first movie, Pautonnier still has the opportunity to become bolder.
