Three students at a reputable business school start up a dubious business.

They are tomorrow’s elite: Dan, Kelliah and Louis. As students at a reputable business school being shaped to become the leaders of tomorrow, they see their colleagues as guinea pigs to can use for their experiments. The trio decides to apply the laws of the market to relations between men and women and launch a shady business.

2005’s bit of blood-and-thunder, Sheitan, revealed Kim Chapiron to be an atypical filmmaker. In 2009, Dog Pound made him a director to watch out for. La Crème de la crème, even if it doesn’t make him accomplished, proves he has a spot among the new generation of French filmmakers. Sharp, in sync with his time, directed against a devious system without resorting to cheap provocation, the film also benefits from the disturbing Alice Isaaz, who is inhabited with a spirit similar to that of Adèle Exarchopoulos (La Vie d'Adele). In the midst of an uneven film, which alternates ridiculous moments with bursts of good staging, she shines.
