A divorced and self-centered writer, Max Salinger is estranged from his 15-year-old daughter Rosalie. When he refuses to let her stay with him for a few months, she decides to take revenge by stealing his latest manuscript and taking off for ski camp. Desperate, Max has no choice but to go to the winter resort and improvise being a parental chaperone. But in addition to being a poor father, Max is awful at taking care of teens...

Where to begin? A populist strategy, a lazy script, coarse jokes, crass characterization, sloppy direction: Tout Schuss is yet another flat, cynically made TV-style “comedy”. Lead José Garcia is left to flail around by himself and the movie is devoid of comic timing, soaked in an over-the-top burlesque style that combines every cliché of the genre. The result is empty and useless, with a complete lack of ideas and imagination. The directorial duo behind Amitiés sincères, Stephan Archinard and François Provost-Leygonie would have been better off doing something else. This is one to miss. Instead, go see Et ta sœur, a funny and touching comedy, and a real film.
