Not far away, Sherriff Julie Forester discovers the chewed-up body of a fisherman. A team of scientists discover that a seismic event has dislodged a pack of mutant piranhas from an underwater grotto - and they're now munching their way towards the students. Overwhelmed by the situation, the sheriff realizes her own children are in danger...
