For years, Tom Kummer faked interviews for serious newspapers until he was caught. Today he's a tennis instructor.

During the 1990's, he stirred things up in the media with his writings for "Spiegel", the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" and the "Tages-Anzeiger". He was a brilliant forger, until he was discovered: Bern's Tom Kummer faked article and reports; his interviews with stars like Pamela Anderson, Brad Pitt and boxer Mike Tyson were marveled at and admired.

Miklós Gimes's documentary tries to investigate the Kummer phenomenon, spicing his film with staged scenes. He is only partially successful, as in the end Kummer remains shady and undiscerning, although still oddly fascinating for some of his contemporaries.
