Guido Contini, film director, is going through a mid-life crisis. While getting his next project ready, he becomes haunted by the women in his life, from his wife to his mistress, and his dead mother. Musical remake of Federico Fellini's masterpiece "8 1/2" in which Rob Marshall, director and choreograph of "Chicago", directs a host of first-class international actors: Daniel Day-Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Penélope Cruz, Sophia Loren, Judi Dench and Kate Hudson.
