John Woo's remakes of French cinema classics

John Woo plans to produce several remakes of French cinema classics.

John Woo plans to remake a series of French classic films. Among them, «Farewell, Friend» originally played by Charles Bronson and Alain Delon, «Rider on the Rain» with Charles Bronson and «Le choc» with Alain Delon and Catherine Deneuve. Besides, the «Face/Off» director will soon start shooting the remake of the superb «Le Cercle Rouge» that his idol film auteur Jean-Pierre Melville directed in 1970.
