Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) has just 24 hours to live. He isn't sick - he's broke. Because in the future, time is the only form of currency, and the poor of course hardly have any. If they don't get more time, they are hit by an electric pulse and die on the spot. Will shares this fate with thousands in the ghetto where he lives, while the rich have hundreds of years at their disposal. When Will manages to get his hands on a century, he decides to infiltrate the rich, and together with Sylvia (Amanda Seyfried), the daughter of the richest man in the world, goes after the Timekeepers to destroy the system from within...
