The Reverend Cotton Marcus preaches every Sunday at his church, but his enthusiasm is waning; his sermons are a charade, he performs exorcisms on people he doesn't really consider as possessed. Tired of his own hypocrisy, he decides to film his last exorcism with the help of a crew - on a farm where a girl is said to be held captive by a demon.
