Hoping to make a good impression on his future prison guard colleagues, a young corrections officer decides to go to work the evening before his first day on the job, instead of staying home with his pregnant girlfriend. As his co-workers show him the ropes of his new risky position, a riot breaks out and he finds himself locked in with a hundred dangerous inmates. Now he has to convince the leader of the convicts that he is himself a convict, in for 19 years on a murder charge. Meanwhile, a negotiator is sent to calm the situation as an elite troop stands by, ready to intervene... Prison thriller with a good start that unfortunately suffers in comparison to the recent Un prophčte. It is weighed down by overacting and over-ambition - its makers succumbing to the temptation of (sluggishly) denouncing Spain's political class and awful prison conditions.
