A Single Man
Los Angeles, 1962. George, an English university professor brutally loses his boyfriend in a car accident. After 16 years together, his sense of loss is so great it seems insurmountable. Despite the support of his lady friend, the beautiful Charley, George is on the brink of suicide. A series of unexpected encounters during his day may help him to see life differently. The debut film of the successful couturier Tom Ford is a spirited adaptation of a Christopher Isherwood novel. Aesthetic to the extreme, each setting, sequence and protagonist is an ode to beauty and sensuality. Starring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore.
