Sixty years from now, Earth's population has deserted the planet after an apocalyptic alien attack. Humans have won the war against the assailant but were condemned to leave their home planet, now a mere wasteland of stunning desolation. Living in isolation in the ruins of their world, Jack (*Tom Cruise*) and Victoria (*Andrea Risenborough*), in charge of drone maintenance, watch while the planet's last resources are drained to sustain the human colonies in outer space.
