The dinosaur researcher Dr. Alan Grant is asked by a rich couple to accompany them on a flight over the dinosaur island of Sorna. Unbeknownst to him, they are actually looking for their lost son. The team has just barely landed on the island when the dinosaurs announce humans to be in season and send in the heavies - the spinosaurus, bigger and meaner than T-Rex; the velociraptor, suddenly more intelligent that dolphins and primates, capable of speaking to its own kind; and, rounding off the pack, the pteranodon, the flying menace with a decidedly pharmaceutical name.
