After going through a bout of drug trafficking when he was a kid, earning a small fortune by making a name for himself as a rapper then launching a successful clothing line, 50 Cent is now tackling the film industry.

The famous rapper announced his new ambition at Sundance, the largest independent film festival in the world.

His production company, Cheetah Vision, has already acquired a number of scripts, including «The Dance», in which 50 Cent will star with Nicolas Cage.

50 Cent recently got a part in «Streets of Blood», with Val Kilmer and Sharon Stone, and in «Righteous Kill» with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.
