Nuit de la Glisse - Addicted to Life
In the Pyrenees, French Polynesia, the Spanish desert of Alméria, on ocean waves or snow-capped peaks, , director Thierry Donard films men and women in some of nature’s wildest, spectacular and dangerous places. A sensational odyssey that investigates intense sources of adrenaline.
Since its creation at the end of the 70s, the organization La Nuit de glisse has offered audiences an artistic and spectacular look at extreme sports. A director in this genre since 1984, Thierry Donard pushes the limits even farther with Addicted to Life, a sensational documentary shot all around the world. Focusing on both the people and their sports, with confessional interviews and amazing feats of athleticism, the movie does its best to recreate the thrills felt by its subjects. On the program are: skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, rock climbing, skateboarding, wingsuit flying and kitesurfing, each one presented through images more incredible than the next – under-wave shots, jumps into the void and fascinating landscapes. Or, as one of the athletes says, “There is a pleasure in the madness”.
