Policeman John McClane (Bruce Willis) flies privately to Moscow to visit his son Jack. A little while later, the two have destroyed half the city. The reason: whistleblower Komarov is being hunted by the goons of a politician named Chagarin. To John's amazement, Jack works for the CIA and has been assigned to protect Komarov.
