A left wing, co-op TV station is a utopian experience for the locals in the neighborhood.

Can an independent, anarchist station survive in the world of formatted, capitalist television? This is what Télé gaucho offers the residents of the neighborhood its makers are squatting in, turning a building into a studio and place for reflection. The invention of digital cameras make it possible for this cheerful group of improvised journalists to train their shoulder-cameras on demonstrations in favor of undocumented immigrants and to stake out right-wing extremist skinheads in support of their convictions and politics. The arrival of a young provincial – a fan of Jean-Luc Godard films and an intern at HT1, the corporate enemy station – may make it possible for them to spread their rebellious message throughout the country. And the worm is in the apple...

Inspired by his years at the co-op station Télébocal, Michel Leclerc reunites with Sara Forestier – whom he had sleeping with right wingers to make them turn left in Le nom des gens – setting her down in the midst of a cheerful group of utopian anarchists. Nostalgia for 1990's revolutionaries who dreamed of finishing what 1968 never achieved, with a charming group of characters (Eric Elmosnino, Maïween, etc.) who manage to make the audience forget that this piece of chaos seems more like a draft version than a complete film.
