The voice of Kirikou's grandfather resonates through the cave: he tells five stories from the playful and clever boy's childhood within his tribe. They offer occasions to remind the audience of values that are simple but commonsensical: how to receive a stranger, helping one another within the community, opening one's spirit, etc. – each time sung and danced on the village's central square in conclusion. In this third story, Kirikou meets wild animals, the sorceress Karaba, a lost Tuareg and, most importantly, a wandering African storyteller who brings her oral literature from village to village, freely inventing it if necessary.

Inexhaustibly feel-good in style, these stories in the form of memories of the young boy impart general education and how to deal with others. A good lesson in life for the little ones and a small reminder for the older audience members who brought them to the theater.
