Just arrived in Berlin, a scientist headed for a conference is the victim of a car accident while his wife remains in their hotel room. When he wakes up from a four-day coma, he realizes he has no ID papers and that no one has reported him missing. Even worse, when he returns to his hotel, his wife claims not to recognize him.
