Sophie and Jason, a thirty-something couple living in Los Angeles, find a stray cat with a broken paw. After taking it to the SPCA, they decide to adopt it, despite their common fear of this kind of responsibility. With the cat in the animal hospital for a month, they plan on taking that time off work to enjoy being creative and hanging out with friends.
