A wine dealer named Christian lives with his 16-year-old son in Copenhagen, while his wife Anna has a career in Argentina - as the manager of a soccer team, no less. While he's waiting for her to come home, he receives divorce papers to sign. Dragging his son along, Christian goes to Buenos Aires to change her mind. While he's forced to share a roof with her new soccer star lover, his son falls in love for the first time. Christian is forced to reevaluate his life and decide whether he can or even wants to win back Anna.

A Dane in Buenos Aires ensures real culture shock. Superclasico is somewhat disjointed, as if it weren't from one mold. A solid comedy with South American lightness, garnished with a shot of Northern European melancholy. With this mix, the only thing to be expected in this story is the unexpected.
