Captain Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in a train in the body of an unknown man. All he remembers is his last mission in Afghanistan. Then a bomb explodes and he finds himself in a pod receiving orders: he must relive the last 8 minutes of the man's life thanks to a program called Source Code to identify the terrorist who laid the bomb and to prevent further bombings.
