An ambitious realtor, Popper (Jim Carrey) puts work before family and so is naturally separated from his wife. His daughter gives him the cold shoulder, and if he forgets his son’s birthday one more time, his family will give him up for good. One day, his dying father sends him a penguin, soon to be followed by five more, who are meant to lavish Popper will all the affection his father never knew how to give him. With his children thrilled by the penguins, he soon turns his swanky apartment into a polar landscape as his life gets increasingly complicated – but also better and better.
