Born in Charleston, a dangerous working class ghetto in Boston controlled by the Irish mob, Doug MacRay is left by his mother at 6 and has a father in prison for life. Not surprising then that Doug robs banks for a living, even though he dreams of giving it up one day. Doug's life takes a turn when he and his gang hit a bank disguised as grim reapers and he falls for its attractive manager, who lives in his neighborhood.
