Flynn Rider is a thief on the run from the king's bailiffs. He comes upon a tower, where Rapunzel has been held by a witch for 18 years, since just after her birth. Rapunzel, who thinks the witch is her mother, subdues the intruder and forces him to show her the world outside. With the king's henchman, Flynn's former cronies and the witch all on their tail, they go on a thrilling and funny adventure, during which Rapunzel is finally able to break away from her supposed mother.
