Julie & Julia
Two women, one passion: cooking. On the one hand, Julia Child, who moves around the world with her diplomat husband in the mid 20th century, turning her love for food into a talent for cooking, later becoming the star of her own cooking show in the US. 50 years later, Julie Powell, a bored amateur writer stuck in a cubicle job, decides to makes every recipe in Child's cookbook within one year and blog about the process. In her best movie for many years, Nora Ephron cleverly and humorously intertwines the stories of the two women, who have more in common than a love of cooking. Unfortunately, even the wonderful performance by Meryl Streep and Amy Adams can't change the fact that the first story is more interesting than the second.
