The son of an officer, Janek sings songs of freedom and anarchy in a punk band. Pretty normal for a teenager passionate about music, except that it’s 1981 and Poland is under the influence of the Solidarity movement headed by Lech Walesa. The communist regime, led by the USSR, aren’t interested in letting an avant-garde wave spread across the country, so they impose martial law. Janek is also in love with the daughter of a dissident – will he dare to go against the officials? Go to movie review from Valérie Lobsiger
