In the first part of *Ulrich Seidl*'s trilogy about the divine virtues faith, hope and love, a middle-aged woman from Vienna (*Margarethe Tiesel*) on vacation in Kenya hopes to find the love that no longer seems to be available in Europe for women of her age. But her hopes and desires remain unfulfilled, because while she may get sex for money from the young men on the beach, if they offer emotions and closeness, they are at best simulated.
