Al Capone (Robert der Niro) rules Chicago through smuggling liquor during the period of prohibition. Elliot Ness (Kevin Costner) assembles a special unit to finally bring an end to the the gangster boss's activities. He soon learns of the reason for his initial failures: Al Capone has been paying off high-ranking officials and police officers in order to be able to carry on his activities undisturbed. Patrolman Malone (Sean Connery) comes to his assistance. The Untouchables tackle the infamous Capone head on.
