Early life
Deneuve was born Catherine Fabienne Dorléac in occupied Paris, the third of four daughters, to French stage and screen actor Maurice Dorléac and actress Renée Deneuve. Deneuve was raised Catholic. Her three sisters are actress Françoise Dorléac (who died in a car crash on 26 June 1967), Sylvie Dorléac and Danielle Dorléac.
