De Niro will rock you

Hollywood royalty Robert De Niro plans to bring a musical with the legendary hits of the rock group Queen to the stage. The show is to be called «We Will Rock You».

Also in on the development of the musical are Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor. At a press conference in London, Robert De Niro announced that the musical itself will present a world in which everyone watches the same movies, wears the same clothes and listens to the same computer-generated music. The idea for the musical came six years ago, when de Niro met the two musicians at the Venice Film Festival. The story was originally to be about the famous rock band, but then comedian Ben Elton suggested the futuristic content. After its opening on May 14, 2002 in England, the show will tour North America, Australia, Scandinavia, Italy and Japan.
