Anthony Hopkins’ soon to be single

Although Anthony Hopkins and Jennifer Lynton have been living on separate continents for two years – he in Hollywood and she in his homeland of England – there has never before been any talk of divorce.

65 year-old Anthony Hopkins, who in 1991, after 20 years in the business, had his Hollywood breakthrough with «The Silence of the Lambs» won a Best Actor Oscar for his role of Hannibal Lector. He has been living in California for the last two years, where he feels more at home than in England. Hopkins has meanwhile become an American citizen and doesn't plan on going back.

The divorce seems just to have been a matter of time. And a friend of Hopkins' attests to his generosity: apparently the Lector star is planning to reward his future ex-wife with a juicy settlement to make up for the years of support she gave him during the time he was not yet financially successful as an actor.

Meanwhile, Hopkins is getting his fair share of work. He will next be seen reincorporating the role of Hannibal Lector in front of the camera, this time with Ed Norton, Ralph Fiennes, Harvey Keitel and Emily Watson, in the film «Red Dragon».
