A year has passed since Marin found his son Nemo with the help of Dory. Alone in the world, she has found in them a new family. But the past catches up with Dory as she realizes the desire to find her parents has never left her. On a whim, she decides to start looking for them, and is ready to cross the ocean to investigate. Nemo and Marin decide to help in this great adventure, which leads them to a marine biology institute linked to Dory’s past...

Finding Nemo was a huge success in 2003, during Pixar’s golden age when it released Toy Story and Monsters Inc. Since then, they have produced good movies like The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALL-E, Up and Toy Story 3, which were followed by more lukewarm fare like Cars, Brave, Monsters University and The Good Dinosaur. All proof at least of the amazing images and colors behind animation studio, which make it a successful factory. Finding Dory* is thus yet another demonstration of the talents of Pixar storytellers and animators, who again immerse the audience into a fun, touching and sometimes loud adventure. But the formula is seriously beginning to falter, and this sequel is sorely lacking in imagination and inventiveness. Only Hank, the wonderful octopus, reminds us that Pixar is able to create real magic. Too bad that magic is a mere accessory in this blustering piece of prefabricated spectacle.
