Since the death of his 6-year-old daughter, Howard Inlet has locked himself within a silence that worries his loved ones. Formerly an ambitious and illustrious publicist, he has become the shadow of himself, to the point where it threatens his business. Powerless, his colleagues and friends Claire, Whit and Simon have an absurd idea to help him: hire three actors to interpret the roles of Death, Time and Love, to which Howard wrote therapeutic letters to dress His wounds. Thanks to this staging, the trio thinks of saving their company, without suspecting that they will also save Howard and themselves ...

Hidden Beauty seems to end a trilogy alongside In Search of Happiness and Seven Lives : a trio of melodious, moralistic melodies, of sickly goodness and gentleness. With the very banal ambition of reorchestring the magic of Life is beautiful by Frank Capra, a classic of the 40s with James Stewart, this business man in depression that finds the way of life is coarse naivety. Worse: the plot is ridiculous, and questions more friendship than love or time given the twisted plan of the three close to the hero. Faced with such a farce, the only way out is to take Hidden Beauty with an amusing distance, as evidenced by the delicious Helen Mirren , who pulls out of the game.
