You need search no farther for a simple bit of summer entertainment in this easy comedy constructed around a star couple: the beautiful and witty Emma Thompson and the elegant Pierce Brosnan. With no surprises, innovation or explosions, The Love Punch is content with setting up conventional situations and banal dashes of humor, in accordance with a script that doesn’t dare go beyond the obvious (the curious past of the very funny Timothy Spall, among the more efficient ideas). There are sure to be better comedies on offer this summer.

God awful. It's sad that two very competent actors succumb to a script as lame as this. I mean really, really lame. If you want to doubt me do so at your own risk. We have all seen wonderful romantic comedies and this is definitely not in that category in any way, shape or form.
