An unsuccessful writer from Berlin flees to the Swiss Alps.

Writing smart things about one’s own generation is not easy, as noted by hipster girl Dominique (Florentine Krafft) – her publisher thinks her work is not authentic enough. But she won't give up: she takes off with her kebab-seller boyfriend Deniz (José Barros) to the Valais to experience the raw, archaic side of life.

The provincial setting is chosen wisely: director Dominik Locher has roots in the Leuk region, knows the country, the people, the mentality – all of which inspired him to make this snappy debut film. The best part is his depiction of his idiotic, small-town contemporaries in the form of his supporting cast of characters. They are what drives this very eccentric tragicomedy about individual and general situation of a generation caught up by high-tech coolness and old fashioned feelings in turbulence.
