North Korean terrorists gain access to the White House: thriller starring Gerard Butler as the president’s ex-bodyguard.

When North Korean terrorists take over the White House in Washington and kidnap the president, his former bodyguard Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) is called to action. He has only a few hours time to save the world's most powerful leader: if the kidnapper's demands aren't met, they'll set off all the nuclear bombs in the country.

Olympus Has Fallen is a conservative shoot 'em up with the usual bad guys, broken windows, rattling machine guns and a hero who, although somewhat simply drawn, is as determined as John Rambo and John McLane. It's a bit odd that the movie has been overtaken by reality. One can imagine Kim Jong-un watching Olympus Has Fallen in his private screening room, his feelings swinging from happiness to rage. Barack Obama would surely have more fun watching this action-thriller.
