Short description
The career of Gus Lobel (Clint Eastwood), an old baseball talent scout, is on its way down. Those close to him are worried about his failing eyesight, which he refuses to acknowledge. His daughter (Amy Adams), a strong woman with a solid reputation in man's world, decides to visit her absent father, whom she's barely seen since her mother died when she was six. She hopes to take this occasion to finally bond with him, but the old man is stubborn and he doesn't appreciate what he thinks of as her meddling. Somehow they will have to break down the wall they are both responsible for...
