Short description
Everyone is happy in Thneedville. Especially Aloysius O'Hare, who has become rich by selling clean air in bottles. Because there are no more trees, everything is made of plastic and oxygen is rare. But Audrey would love to see a tree, and because Ted is in love with her, he dares to leave the city to find out from the Once-ler why there are no more of them. The Once-ler tells him how he felled them all, against the will of the Lorax.
