A special unit led by Ross (Sylvester Stallone) made up of a troupe of elite soldiers (Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren) goes on a mission to get a Chinese billionaire out of a jam. The aging team meets an old acquaintance (Arnold Schwarzenegger) in passing, who keeps showing up to lend a strong hand – mutual aid that is part of the code of honor so important to this group of mercenaries. This sequel by Simon West reunites a group of old but buff fogies who have each saved the world a half-dozen times in their careers. The succession of clenched-jaw faces – generously sprinkled with wrinkles – each more famous than the other, will delight fans of the genre as they fight endlessly as manly men. Offering a more or less pleasant adventures, this band of seniors has the air of a group of rockers looking to cash in on a blockbuster one last time, making sure to adjust their dentures before each take!
