Albanian gangsters gather in revenge for their brothers, killed by Liam Neeson as a former CIA agent in the first “Taken”.

As they bury their sons and brothers, the Albanians swear revenge for their dead and demand the blood of the man who killed them on their land. They don't care that the murderer, a former CIA agent (Liam Neeson), did so to save his kidnapped daughter (in the first Taken) from their prostitution ring. With her father this time the one kidnapped by the angry clan, it's up to the young woman to help save not only him, but her mother as well...

Dodging bullets and grenades through the streets of Istanbul, the hero of Taken 2 seems more like Tom Thumb as he runs backwards through the alleys of Istanbul, as he finds his way thanks to a violin player (turn right), the blows of a hammer, (right again) and birds singing to reach his enemies' hideout. No need for a GPS, as Luc Besson and his team already know how to lead the audience through this umpteenth blockbuster that does nothing but go boom throughout.
