Short description
Sixto Rodriguez, the son of Mexican immigrants, works at odd jobs in Detroit until being discovered in the 1970's by a music producer. They make two albums, both of which flop. But somehow Rodriguez' music makes it to South Africa, where songs like «Establishment Blues» become hymns against the Apartheid regime. Rodriguez knows nothing of his fame and remains a mystery – there are even rumors of his suicide. Until two South African music journalists go in search of their idol...
