A young lingerie saleswoman turns to bounty hunting to make ends meet.

Stephanie Plum (Katherine Heigl), a young lingerie saleswoman tired of not making enough money, decides to change careers and talks her bail bondsman cousin into giving her a job as a bounty hunter. Her first big job: a former childhood boyfriend (Jason O'Mara) who's now a cop accused of murder and on the run in an attempt to find witnesses who will prove him innocent. Motivated by the bounty on his head, Stephanie also takes this opportunity to avenge the way he treated her all those years ago...

Adapted from the novel by Janet Evanovich, One for the Money, directed by Julie Anne Robinson, has the same soft consistency as a TV series trying to be funny. Its stars, two escapees from Grey's Anatomy (Katherine Heigl and Jason O'Mara) wield arms and clichés in the same manner as they did scalpels on the small screen. Young and mostly male audiences may enjoy the cleavage and shoot ‘em up aspect, but others - especially those hoping for some evidence of the charm of Evanovich's novels - will more likely be bored.
