Just arrived in Berlin, a scientist headed for a conference is the victim of a car accident while his wife remains in their hotel room. When he wakes up from a four-day coma, he realizes he has no ID papers and that no one has reported him missing. Even worse, when he returns to his hotel, his wife claims not to recognize him. He comes to the conclusion that another man has taken on his identity and that his days are numbered.

Thanks to well-crafted suspense and good direction this movie is entertaining, but the subject matter is unfortunately overdone and eventually forgettable.
