Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) and Dave (Jason Bateman) are childhood friends who have moved on to completely different lives. Dave is a family man and stressed-out lawyer, Mitch is single with no responsibilities and dreams of a career as an actor. Each one thinks the other has it better, and after a wild night they wake up and realize they have switched bodies. As they try to find a way of returning to their own bodies, they are forced to deal with each other's lives.

The makers of The Hangover take an old movie cliché and adapt it to the comedic talents of Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman. An unbalanced mix of infantile humor and emotional drama, The Change-Up is nonetheless a good date movie.
