Although weighed down by depressing narration, this passionate documentary is admirable in its method of making extremely complex subjects – such as the energy crisis we find ourselves in – understandable to the average audience. Examples given by the participants are astonishing: a round-trip flight between Switzerland and the United States represents the same amount of energy it would take to build the pyramids at Gizeh! But will audiences stop using their cars or taking weekend shopping trips to London or New York after seeing this film?
