The universe has been divided into 3600 sections, each guarded by a Green Lantern. Although Green Lantern Corps keeps the peace in the universe, an evil entity called Parallax wants to take over. An earthling pilot is selected as the first human to join the corps, but he needs to learn the right skills before he can help save the universe.

Director Martin Campbell has succeeded in making "Green Lantern" entertaining despite its dumb plot and simple message. His movie pokes fun at itself with B-movie charm and a quick tempo. And in contrast to other current productions, the 3D effects are actually worthwhile.
